September 2011 Update
Prof. Parson will deliver a keynote addrss on "Climate Engineering: Novel Challenges for Global Governance" on October 29, at the annual conference of the Centre for International Governance Innovation.
He organized and led the symposium, "A Fine Balance: Expertise, Evidence and Democracy in Policy and Governance, 1960-2011," inspired by the intellectual legacy of A.R. Dobell, at the University of Victoria, August 19-20, 2011.
Prof. Parson was a faculty member for the second international summer school on climate engineering, held at the Banff Centre, August 1-7, 2011 and jointly sponsored by Heidelberg, Carnegie-Mellon, and Calgary universities.

“Iterative Climate Change Decisions”, co-authored with Darshan Karwat, appeared in the Wiley Interdisciplinary Review of Climate Change, June 2011, and was the focus for a session led by Prof. Gary Yohe, at the IPCC expert meeting on Economic Analysis, Costing Methods, and Ethics, in Lima, Peru, June 23-25, 2011.
